Fini Bearman is a London-based singer, songwriter, composer and multi-instrumentalist, blending art-pop, jazz and pop-folk into an arresting, deeply personal sound.
Nominated for a Deutsche Jazz Preis (Vocal Album of the Year, 2023), she is known for her distinctive voice, lyrical depth and genre-fluid approach to songwriting.
Her fifth studio album, ‘Last Night of the World’, has garnered widespread acclaim, including an Editor’s Choice from Jazzwise, who called it “an exceptional, unforgettable and profoundly beautiful collection of songs,” alongside support from BBC Jazz on 3 and Jazz FM.
We present world-class jazz concerts, two Thursdays a month, open to all: no membership required.
Our concerts take place in the comfortable lounge bar at Eltham Warren Golf Club, which is within walking distance of Eltham town centre and has its own free car park right outside.
We are named after the formidable Hugh & Marion Ockendon, who promoted live jazz in Eltham for over 32 years! Hugh, a classically trained pianist with a deep love of jazz, sadly died in 2020, followed by Marion, a cabaret artist and band vocalist, in October 2022.
Hugh & Marion’s legacy now continues under the stewardship of multi-award-winning vocalist, lyricist and producer Georgia Mancio (Alan Broadbent, ReVoice! Festival, Bobby McFerrin) and acclaimed drummer Dave Ohm (Ian Shaw, Benny Golson, Gregory Porter).
