As previously announced, our time at Eltham Warren Golf Club has come to an end.
We are delighted to say that we will be trialling a new venue for our July concert that gives us exclusive use of a whole venue for the first time!

Rob Townsend is an acclaimed saxophonist and flautist whose playing blends tradition, fire and sensitivity in equal measure.A hugely versatile player who has toured the world, performing everywhere from intimate jazz clubs to major international festivals and arenas, alongside artists such as Eddie Henderson, Sam Rivers, Django Bates, Rick Wakeman and a long-standing collaboration with Steve Hackett’s band (ex-Genesis).
He was also Head of Jazz at Middlesex University for many years, helping to shape the next generation of British jazz talent.
We present world-class jazz concerts, on the 3rd Thursday a month, open to all: no membership required.
We are named after the formidable Hugh & Marion Ockendon, who promoted live jazz in Eltham for over 32 years! Hugh, a classically trained pianist with a deep love of jazz, sadly died in 2020, followed by Marion, a cabaret artist and band vocalist, in October 2022.
Hugh & Marion’s legacy now continues under the stewardship of multi-award-winning vocalist, lyricist and producer Georgia Mancio (Alan Broadbent, ReVoice! Festival, Bobby McFerrin) and acclaimed drummer Dave Ohm (Ian Shaw, Benny Golson, Gregory Porter).
