“Christian Vaughan plays with a sensitivity and depth that makes his music connect where it matters. He's committed to investigating and communicating the poetry in his solos.” - Julian Joseph, BBC Radio 3
Pianist, composer and arranger, Christian Vaughan, has been a hugely respected fixture on the British Jazz scene since graduating from the Royal Academy of Music in 1994. Described by Helen Mayhew at Jazz FM as “a fabulous and stylish player … who must be heard”, Christian’s virtuosic musicianship has led to a wide variety of ventures including Tony Rémy, Jean Toussaint, the Jazz Crusaders, Alfie Boe and numerous TV and film credits. He is also a dedicated educator, with posts at the Royal Academy of Music, the Royal College of Music, the Hochschüle für Musick, and currently Eton College.
We are delighted to welcome Christian’s swinging and scintillating Quartet, featuring alto saxophonist and composer, Jamie O’Donnell (Bob Martin, Pasadena Roof Orchestra, Anita Wardell), for our London Jazz Festival concert.
