Guitar Special ftg Sam Dunn & Jamie Taylor

Jamie Taylor and Sam Dunn have been weaving their blend of interactive, swinging, melodic and dynamic jazz guitar together for over 25 years, having met as students at Leeds College of Music. Both firmly established as band leaders and accompanists in their own right, this year sees the release of their album ‘Going Coastal’.

Jamie is an engaging performer in the tradition, blending the lyricism of Lester Young with the fiery bebop of Tal Farlow and Barney Kessel. His many credits with leading American and European musicians include Baptiste Herbin, Wayne Escoffery, Sheryl Bailey, Steve Fishwick, Roni Ben-Hur, and Alan Barnes.

Sam is a widely respected and versatile player who has collaborated with Sammy Mayne, Hot Club of Jupiter, Karen Street, The Clock Winders, Shirley Smart, Georgia Mancio, Simon Spillett, and Grammy-nominated US pianist and vocalist Judy Carmichael.
