"Her pitching flawless, she somehow manages to combine an apparently effortless precision with a warm, inviting sound, drawing the listener in to her beguiling world” - UK Jazz News
Twice nominated in the 2024 Parliamentary Jazz Awards (Best Vocalist and Best Album), Imogen Ryall has proved herself one of the leading voices of the UK jazz scene, championed by Claire Martin OBE and many others.
Last year, her homage to Charles Mingus and Joni Mitchell, The Mingus/Mitchell Songbook (Rubicon Classics), was included in the list of “Best Albums of 2023” by five independent reviewers. Most recently, she also showcased her impressive lyric writing on the album, Songs, co-written with the lauded Czech pianist and composer, Emil Viklický.
Imogen has performed at many of the major UK jazz venues and festivals, as well as with some of the most highly regarded musicians around including Anona Trio and Mark Edwards’ Cloggz.
