Karen Sharp

Multiple winner of the tenor saxophone category of the British Jazz Awards, and multiple nominee in the baritone sax category of the USA ‘Downbeat’ critics and readers poll, Karen’s style is both accessible yet distinctive. 

Her early career began in Humphrey Lyttelton’s band, touring Europe for several years, alongside other notable work with Tina May, Nikki Iles, Alan Barnes, John Dankworth, Scott Hamilton, Warren Vaché and Guy Barker’s Big Band (BBC Proms).

Karen has released 5 albums under her name and continues to enjoy immense popularity and acclaim as both bandleader and performer. A joy!
