Robbie Robson

One of the UK’s most in demand trumpeters, Robbie Robson is known for his lyrical style and warm tone. Following his studies at both Leeds and the Guildhall School of Music, where he won prizes for Outstanding Musicianship and Composition, he was a national finalist in the Young Jazz Musician of the Year 1999, and the runner up in the Perrier Young Jazz Musician 2000.

His numerous credits include Sir John Dankworth and Dame Cleo Lane, Phil Woods, Jamie Cullum, Jason Rebello, Jerry Bergonzi, Steve Swallow, Bill Frisell, Alcyona Mick and the London Jazz Orchestra, as well as leading his own acclaimed band, Dog Soup.
