Jay Phelps

In his 20 year career, Canadian born trumpeter, composer, DJ and entrepreneur, Jay Phelps, has performed with some of the world’s top artists including Wynton Marsalis, Kamaal Williams and Amy Winehouse. 

With his instantly recognisable warm and projecting trumpet tone, Jay has headlined major venues including Ronnie Scott’s and The Cockpit Theatre, and released seven albums.

His charismatic energy have also led to radio presenting at Jazz FM and Worldwide FM, as well his own Youtube documentary series ‘Ear to the Ground’, featuring artists from the UK Jazz scene and beyond.
