"A truly exceptional…..talent, possessing a voice of such sizzling intensity and raw emotion you could fry an egg on it" - Jazzwise
Polly Gibbons has forged a successful career on the international jazz circuit over two decades: twice-nominated as “Best Jazz Vocalist” by the BBC and Jazz FM, and compared to a female version of Gregory Porter by US magazine Downbeat.
Arriving on the London scene, straight out of rural Suffolk, at just 17, Polly immediately stunned audiences with her raw, virtuosic talent. She has since opened for George Benson and Gladys Knight at the Royal Albert Hall, had a residency at New York’s legendary Birdland Jazz Club and appears regularly at Ronnie Scott’s.
Expect songs from the Great American Songbook, classic blues and soulful originals from her landmark album ‘As It Is’; all delivered with Polly’s trademark blend of jazz, gospel and R&B, prompting comparisons to Aretha Franklin by The Sunday Times.
