“a distinctly fresh voice that speaks with a magical turn of phrase" - Jazz Da Gama
Saxophonist and composer Trish Clowes has been described as “an improviser to be reckoned with” (Downbeat Magazine) and “one of the most agile and original jugglers of improv and adventurous composition to have appeared in the UK in recent times” (The Guardian).
Currently an Associate Artist at Wigmore Hall, her latest album ‘A View with a Room’ is out on Dave Douglas’ Greenleaf Music. Notable career performances include Barbican, Toronto Jazz Festival, Royal Festival Hall, Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club, Celtic Connections, Galway Jazz Festival, and broadcasts for BBC 2 Proms Extra, BBC Radio 3 and Radio Bremen.
We are delighted to welcome this sublime artist in her debut at Hugh & Marion’s, with a stellar band of guitarist Mike Outram (Jacqui Dankworth, Asaf Sirkis), bassist Isaac Burland (Giacomo Smith) and drummer Dave Ohm (Ian Shaw, Benny Golson).
